Wealth of world down 11 pct in 2009

The 2008 global reces­sion caused the first world­wide con­trac­tion in assets under man­age­ment in nearly a decade, accord­ing to a study that found wealth dropped 11.7 per cent to $92.4 trillion.

A return to 2007 lev­els of wealth will take six years, accord­ing to a Boston Con­sult­ing Group study that exam­ined assets over­seen by the asset man­age­ment industry.

Harry Potter’s attraction’s plans unveiled by Universal

A mas­sive Hog­warts cas­tle will loom over The Wiz­ard­ing World of Harry Pot­ter, slated to open in the spring at Universal’s Islands of Adven­ture in Orlando, and house a ride that its cre­ators say will exceed the tech­nol­ogy and sto­ry­telling of the park’s Spider-Man 3-D thrill ride.

In inter­views, park offi­cials would reveal lit­tle about the ride, Harry Pot­ter and the For­bid­den Jour­ney, except to describe it in superla­tives and promise more details closer to its opening.
